Spitfire Picnic Benches, Fairhaven
GJN successfully completed the installation of new street furniture at the iconic Spitfire display at Fairhaven. The project involved the construction and installation of
six durable metal picnic bench sets, creating an attractive and practical outdoor seating area for visitors enjoying the lakeside surroundings.
As part of the works, our team constructed bespoke exposed aggregate concrete bases using carefully selected green granite chippings to complement both the surrounding
landscape and the new street furniture. The robust foundations were designed to provide long-term durability while enhancing the visual appeal of the public space.
The installation formed part of an improvement scheme to increase visitor comfort and encourage greater use of the recreational area. Positioned around the famous
Spitfire display, the new picnic benches provide accessible seating with panoramic views across Fairhaven Lake, offering an ideal location for families, walkers, cyclists, and tourists.
