Askam Civil Engineering, Walney Substation, Heysham

The new Walney Substation will be the world's largest substation for an off shore windfarm upon completion. Working for Askam's GJN have completed all the core drilling on site for service holes. Drilling a range of 112mm, 152mm and 172mm holes through both precast and insitu ducts. All work was completed on time and within the strict health and safety site guidelines.
