Working alongside Fylde Council again, major structural repairs where required to the sea walls at Lytham. The walls where originally built as mussel tanks and formed three seperate tanks. The concrete had started to spall and the reinforcement had badly corroded over a 25m2 area. GJN broke away all the damaged concrete and reinforcement. We introduced new reinforcement and protected this with Flexcrete Steel Protector 841. Then we tied sacrificial zinc anodes to the reinforcement to ensure that the design brief was met. We used a colour matched Flexcrete Monomix HD to complete the repair.
